The Other Side Of The Badge was started out of the frustration of witnessing good, hard-working people being left out in the cold after encountering some form of hardship in life; major medical issue, loss of job, or major legal issue to name a few. Wanting to do something to help, I attended fundraisers, golf outings, or donated money for those affected and their families. Seeing their family and friends come together for such a good cause moved me to want to find a way to do more.
Having experienced some of these hardships myself, I know the importance of being prepared and protected in life. The thought of helping people to be proactive instead of reactive in life seemed like the best way to help them in a time of need. Removing the immense stress that financial concerns can put on a family would be the best way to contribute to their needs.
The hardest part of helping people is to make them realize they need help before a hardship takes place in their lives.
